Re-discovering music

I have been listening to some great music lately. Very interestingly I used to listen to great music when I used to hack, when I used to code as an engineer. That was year 2000-02. Lately, it seems like I have re-discovered the lost rhythm inside of me, the great music of Metallica, Green Day and Pink Floyd. I have also discovered Coldplay.

After re-discovering this music after 5 years, I am wondering if there is any correlation between music and hacking (coding). Last 5 years I was a manager, managing people (not that it is a bad thing), and I lost taste of metal and alternative, now I have regained the taste, and I feel good. So is there a relationship ... hmmm.

Whatever it is, I love it man :-)

First Rains in Pune (2006)

You might like to know that it rained heavily in Pune yesterday. Heavily is an understatement for rains in Pune. Let me describe it in more detail.

I went on an auto from office to home yesterday. It was fine until I reached the end of FC road near the SBI bank. The road was entirely flooded there; all traffic was being diverted from there. On the way it rained so badly that I had to open my umbrella inside the auto. The auto’s chaat was leaking heavily, and water was coming in from both sides of the auto (the cars were splashing water inside the rick). So I was trying to crouch myself inside the umbrella, so that the umbrella covers me from all sides, but to no advantage. I got wet.

When I reached Bremen Chowk, it was a big traffic jam there. The entire road that goes left towards Parihar Chowk was flooded about 10 inches high. There were vehicles stuck inside the water, unable to move. All traffic was being diverted to the opposite side of the road. The flooding was for about 60 meters inside the chowk, towards Parikar Chowk.

All this with only one rain in Pune
.

I finally reached home, my cozy home, where I had hot tea, upma and listed to Coldplay’s Clock .

Wow. “Here we come, Pune” said the Rain God!
